How often do we tell ourselves that we don’t have enough time?……………………… ALL THE TIME! 🤪 We live in a constant state of not having enough time. We tell ourselves “Once I get this to that (magic) point I will have more time” But, at last, it never happens leaving us with a wave of guilt and shame. It’s a terrible cycle. How do we break this?
The first thing we all need to do is forgive ourselves. Come on! Give yourself a hug and say “it’s gonna be okay” Next we need to approach everything one small step at a time.
“Inch by inch life’s a cinch, yard by yard life is hard” are the words of wisdom my dad would say regularly. It has become my life motto. Take it one small step at a time, and your goals keep getting closer. It’s remarkable how well this works. Let’s add this to our guitar playing.
Every song is based on a chord progression. A common one is C G Am F. For it to sound like a song, you need to have good transitions between chords and a solid rhythm. Instead of focusing on the whole progression, try just only two chords at a time. Keep it slow and steady and you’ll accomplish the chord progression. Inch by Inch life’s a cinch! 😁
