Treasure Chest

Home » Resources » Games » Treasure Chest

You don’t need to have an instrument to play. Your opponent can hum or clap the part. This is a fun way for parents to join in.

Put four cards face down. Each card is a treasure chest. The number on the card is how much gold you will receive if you play the part correctly.

From left to right it’s 1 lock, 2 locks, 3 locks, and 4 locks. You must play the guitar part to unlock the treasure chest. Play the part one time to unlock one lock. If you mess up your opponent can play the remaining locks and steal that card. For example, if you choose card number 3 (with 3 locks) you must play it 3 times without messing up. If you only play twice and mess up on the 3rd lock, your opponent only needs to play it once to take that treasure chest (card).

In the end, the opponent with the least amount of gold can steal a card from their opponent first. You must play the guitar part twice the amount of gold to steal. Your opponent can steal it back after your turn. if you mess up you lose. The person with the most gold wins.
